Congratulations to Dr. Jiannan Cai on being awarded the Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas), funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). This highly competitive program recognizes exceptional overseas scholars with outstanding academic achievements and the potential to lead groundbreaking research. Dr. Cai was selected for this honor due to his systematic development of the theories and methods for geospatial association pattern mining. In the field of Geographic Information Science (GIS), only 1 to 2 scholars are selected each year, making this a truly remarkable achievement. We are proud to celebrate this milestone in his career.
